I am a creative person, through-and-through.
From my school days, Art was always 'my thing', and from GCSE to A-Level, my future profession was always going to be a creative pursuit. During my Foundation Art & Design course, I discovered that Graphic Design was not just the technical drawing we'd done at school, and fell in love with the language of visual communication. Bridging the gap between art and science, is Graphic Design. It's clever, it's beautiful and it's compelling. Not only does it allow me a creative output, but it serves a purpose, solves problems and also keeps me awake to new tachnology — new software, new innovations…including AI — but as a tool to be utilised, not as a replacment for the designer.
Now, with over nineteen years of experience in the Graphic Design industry — three as Creative Services Manager, leading a team of three Graphic Designers and a Photographer — I have the expertise to deliver exceptional results that meet the needs of my clients. I have worked on a wide variety of brands, to exacting standards and to sometimes very strict brand requirements.
Collaboration is key to creating effective design solutions, and by working closely with real people, I get to understand their goals, vision, and style.
I'm passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, because everything is relevant and useful in achieving the desired end result. That's not to say I can do absolutely everything – there are limits…if you need a house building, I'm probably not the right person to call!
